By abolishing the requirement of graphical representation since October 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2017, applications for sound marks are submitted solely by the means of a sound file in which the sound is reproduced or the precise representation of the sound by musical notation. \u00a0There are not currently examples of sound marks which are reproduced exclusively by the means of a sound file. All relevant examples are referring to marks which are reproduced by a graphical representation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motion mark:<\/strong> it consists of, or it extends to a to a movement or a change in the position of the elements of a mark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Multimedia mark:<\/strong> it consists of, or it extends to a combination of images and sound (as from October 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 20217).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hologram mark:<\/strong> it consists of elements with holographic characteristics (as from October 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 20217).<\/p>\n<p>*Note: The trade mark types marked with an asterisk are not separate categories under the EU trade mark Implementing Regulation.
