generated by TagDiv Composer *\/\n.td_block_text_with_title{\r\n                  margin-bottom: 44px;\r\n                  -webkit-transform: translateZ(0);\r\n                  transform: translateZ(0);\r\n                }.td_block_text_with_title p:last-child{\r\n                  margin-bottom: 0;\r\n                }\n<\/style><div class=\"td-block-title-wrap\"><\/div><div class=\"td_mod_wrap td-fix-index\"><p align=\"justify\">Via its Technological Information service OBI can provide unique information about patents at international level on a specific issue or problem, in all branches of science and technology.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The following type of information can be retrieved from patents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical \u2013 scientific information, because the invention is described clearly and in detail<\/li>\n<li>Bibliographical information, such as data on the proprietor and inventor, countries where the invention is protected, etc<\/li>\n<li>Legal information\u00a0such as the patent\u2019s duration or the current legal status<\/li>\n<li>Information of an economic \u2013 commercial nature\u00a0such as new products of a specific company for the purposes of importing and exploiting them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The technological information service is provided by the OBI\u2019s central offices in Athens and its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.obi.gr\/en\/obi-2\/?tabid=230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regional electronic libraries.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.obi.gr\/en\/obi-2\/?tabid=207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pre-search fee<\/a>\u00a0must be paid to use the technological information service (pre-search) and a third party\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.obi.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/DYY9_%CE%951_PreSearch_2015.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">search application<\/a> has to be filled in, and filed to OBI.<br \/>\n(Only for clarification \u2013 the form in Greek should be used for filing a request).<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, OBI is the provider of Technological Information free of charge in the Greek language via the EPOs platform\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.obi.gr\/obi\/Default.aspx?tabid=235\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">espacenet<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/gr.espacenet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greek\u00a0<\/a>or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ep.espacenet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European<\/a>\u00a0site.<\/p>\n<p>Information derived from patents is valuable because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avoids wasted time and money on research into fields which have already been searched and granted<\/li>\n<li>Allows for the competition\u2019s movements in industry to be explored<\/li>\n<li>Assists in bringing inventors and financiers into contact<\/li>\n<li>Provides information to every professional and innovator about the level of technical knowledge in his\/her field of interest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OBI obtains its technological information from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OBIs printed archive with collections of Greek patents from 1920 onwards and European patents from 1986 onwards<\/li>\n<li>The Central Information System<\/li>\n<li>Special patent databases via access to the EPO system EPOQUE<\/li>\n<li>Special scientific databases based on subscription<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-pagebuilder-title.php","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-2080","page","type-page","status-publish"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
