With the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of Intellectual Property, exchanging know-how on issues of IP protection and management\u2014including discussion on matters related to emerging technologies, with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and IP\u2014a bilateral meeting was held at the central offices of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) in Maroussi between officials of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) and the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI).<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the meeting, a productive exchange of views took place regarding collaboration with national bodies, aiming to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and awareness around Intellectual Property.<\/p>\n

The meeting highlighted the importance of synergy between national bodies and the broader European innovation ecosystem, with the objective that the strengthening of ties between countries acts as a catalyst for the promotion of knowledge, creativity, and competitiveness. The two organisations presented educational initiatives and actions for the development of postgraduate programs, as well as collaborations with Universities and Research Networks. In addition, reference was made to procedures for granting Intellectual Property Rights, as well as institutional actions of a legislative nature.<\/p>\n

The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office \u2013 HIPO, historically established in 1896, was represented by Mr. Szabolcs Farkas<\/strong>, President of HIPO, accompanied by Ms. Vir\u00e1g Adrienn Varga<\/strong>, Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation at HIPO.<\/p>\n

OBI was represented by Mr. Panagiotis Kanellopoulos<\/strong>, Director General.<\/p>\n

Also participating in the meeting were, Ms. Aikaterini Margellou<\/strong>, Deputy Director General & Director of Legal Support, Ms. Theodora Simitsi<\/strong>, Deputy Director General,
