The European Patent Office (EPO) <\/a>announced today the 12 finalists for the European Inventor Award 2026<\/strong>, recognizing inventors whose work contributes to addressing some of the world\u2019s most pressing global challenges.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s finalists have developed inventions in fields such as biotechnology, healthcare, renewable energy, semiconductors, digital technologies, food technology, quantum technology, railway transport, and advanced manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Selected by an independent international jury, the finalists represent a wide range of technical fields and countries. Their inventions demonstrate how science, engineering, and entrepreneurship can contribute to more sustainable societies, stronger healthcare systems, and a more resilient economy.<\/p>\n

In the Industry category, for the first time, we see two Greek finalists<\/strong>: Angeliki Triantafyllou <\/a><\/strong>and Evangelos Eleftheriou<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
