In the context of international outreach and collaboration efforts of the Innovation Agency of OBI, a series of highly successful meetings took place in Lisbon, between members of OBI’s Innovation Agency and representatives of Portugal’s Innovation Agency (ANI).
The Director of Technological Information of the OBI and Head of the Innovation Agency, Ms. Uioulli Papapostolou, and the Director of Search Directorate of the Organisation, Mr. Demetris Stafylas, accompanied by consultants from “Euroconsultants S.A.,” Mr. Paris Kokorotsikos and Mr. Nikos Giannoulidis, exchanged views on the multifaceted role of Innovation Agencies in Europe, explored planning and implementation tools and procedures, presented the services provided, and invested in strategic international collaborations and innovation networks.
We express our sincere gratitude for their warm welcome and decisive contribution to the Innovation Agency to Mr. Antonio Grilo, President of Portugal’s Innovation Agency, and his associate Ms. Silvia Garcia from the President’s Office, Ms. Mafalda Dourado, Head of International Affairs, as well as all ANI team members who participated either in person or online from the Porto offices, for their targeted contributions to the meeting.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Margarita Matias, Member of the Board of the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property, for her participation, representing the National Intellectual Property Office of Portugal.
These meetings mark the beginning of a meaningful cooperation and mutual understanding between the National Innovation Units and the National Intellectual Property Offices of the two countries.
