On 3–4 June 2025, an educational visit took place at the headquarters of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) by a six-member delegation from the General Directorate of Industrial Property of Albania (GDIP).
The training covered the procedure for filing and granting a Patent, as well as prior art search processes. Presentations were also given on OBI’s procedures for receiving international PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) applications and applications for the grant of European Patents, as well as the process of Industrial Design registration.
Reference was also made to the recent amendments to industrial design law under Regulation (EU) 2024/2822 and Directive (EU) 2024/2823, as part of its modernization, as well as to the new protection system for geographical indications for craft and industrial products.
