During the visit of the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO, Mr. Daren Tang, to Athens, the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) hosted a working lunch attended by innovative deep tech science startups from various technology sectors.
A constructive discussion took place on the commercial exploitation of Industrial Property rights, the valuation of Patents, technology transfer, the strengths and challenges faced by innovative Greek companies in international markets, and the support provided by the Organisation—through the Innovation Agency—to the Greek ecosystem and industry.
At the meeting with Mr. Tang and his associates, the Organisation was represented by the Director General, Mr. Panagiotis Kanellopoulos; the Deputy Director General & Director of Legal Support, Ms. Margellou Katerina, the Director of Technological Information & Head of the Innovation Agency in Greece, Ms. Uioulli Papapostolou and the Head of International Affairs, Ms. Myrto Lambrou Maurer.
The Organisation and the Innovation Agency are expanding their international collaborations with counterpart institutions, developing tools and processes aimed at strengthening the innovation performance of startups, in alignment with the demands of modern entrepreneurship.
