The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation participated in the ASCEND Innovation Conference 2025, held in Copenhagen (November 25–26), under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference was hosted by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), in collaboration with the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, with the support of the European Innovation Council, the European Commission, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The Organisation was represented by Ms. Uioulli Papapostolou, Director of Technological Information and Head of the Innovation Agency, and Mr. Demetris Stafylas, Director of Search Directorate.
Over the course of two days, ASCEND mapped Europe’s innovation potential, focusing on three key levers for enabling deep-tech scaleups:
- Capital – creating stronger financing instruments to meet scale- up needs
- Infrastructure – ensuring access to industrial and technological facilities
- Policy Innovation – fostering regulatory sandboxes and flexible frameworks
The programme included high-level plenary debates, sector- focused parallel sessions, as well as a pre-conference event at DTU Skylab on November 24, highlighting Danish startup stories and innovation journeys. It attracted leaders from the fields of policy, industry, research, and investment, aiming to accelerate and scale deep-tech innovation across Europe.
