Thought, knowledge, and collaboration! CREATRIVIA teaches teenagers the secrets of Intellectual Property through an exciting team challenge
There are many games ideal for teenagers, whether they are board games, digital games, or activities that promote collaboration and creativity. Creativity, in fact, is often said to be at the heart of many games, as it enhances imagination, problem-solving, and self-expression.
For this reason, the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) has adapted and produced in Greek the educational board game CREATRIVIA, which helps teenagers understand Intellectual Property (IP) through fun and creativity. The game was originally designed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
CREATRIVIA was created to introduce young people to key concepts such as inventions, designs, trademarks, geographical indications, music, speech, text, the arts, as well as issues of counterfeiting and product piracy. It encourages critical thinking and teamwork, as participants are divided into groups and, through a series of questions and answers, explore various aspects of Intellectual Property.
Through the game, teenagers learn the importance of protecting creative works, the rights of creators, and how to identify authentic and counterfeit products.
CREATRIVIA has been presented at international events such as the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair, at street events, and in urban games, where participants had the opportunity to play and gain a better understanding of the significance of Intellectual Property. It stands as an excellent example of a game that combines creativity with learning through fun and engaging challenges!
