The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) successfully completed the first weekend of participation in the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) — the country’s leading business, economic, and social event. This year’s Fair held special significance, marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of TIF-HELEXPO.

From September 6 to 14, Pavilion 7, OBI’s information stand has been a focal point for hundreds of visitors. Throughout the event, OBI representatives are providing personalized guidance and information on the protection and utilization of intellectual property rights. On Saturday, a series of meetings and discussions took place with senior officials from the Ministry of Development and Investment, productive and scientific bodies, strengthening cooperation and dialogue on business and industrial innovation.

On the morning of Saturday, September 6, 2025, OBI was visited by Minister of Development and Investment, Takis Theodorikakos, Deputy Minister Lazaros Georgiou Tsavdaridis, and the Secretary General for Industry, Eleftherios Kritikos. They had the opportunity to engage in discussions with OBI’s leadership and staff, reaffirming the Organisation’s long-standing role as an institutional pillar in supporting and promoting innovation in Greece.

On Sunday, September 7, Creatrivia! Think, Play, Win, event was held to great acclaim. This engaging game-based experience highlighted the importance of intellectual property in a fun and educational way, with the participation of 12 students from the 1st Lyceum of Panorama. The event was co-organized by OBI and the Interagency for Market Control (DIMEA) of the Ministry of Development and Investment.

Additionally, on Friday, September 5, OBI brought a festive touch to Thessaloniki’s city center by hosting a musical street event on Agia Sofia pedestrian street. The event promoted outreach for the Authenticities program, raising awareness about counterfeit goods and supporting innovation. Special emphasis was placed on the updated mobile app “Authenticity Thess”, which empowers citizens and visitors to report counterfeit products, thereby contributing to the protection of authenticity and innovation.
