On Monday, September 29, 2025, a scientific conference entitled “Research and Intellectual Property Law” was held at the Goethe-Institut.
The conference was co-organized by the Hellenic Copyright Organization, the Ministry of Culture and the Knowledge Rights 21 Programme, with the support of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) and the Collective Management Organization for Literary Works (OSDEL) and was held under the auspices of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The conference provided an important opportunity to explore legal and other issues related to research, access to knowledge, and Open Science, and their intersection with Intellectual Property Law.
The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) was represented by Mrs. Margellou Katerina, Deputy Director General & Director of Legal Support at OBI, who coordinated the round table entitled “Research at the IP Intersection: Copyright, Data and Industrial Property Rights” where she also presented “the Profile of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI)” as well as “the Case of Trade Secret”.
