The seminar “The Protection of Industrial Property in Simple Steps,” held yesterday, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the premises of the Alexander Innovation Zone (AIZ), in Thessaloniki, was addressed to startups, spinoffs, researchers, and businesses aiming to secure their innovations.
With topics focused on:

✅ Online Filing of a National Trademark
✅ Examples of successful and unsuccessful registrations
the seminar was organized by the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) and the Alexandrer Innovation Zone (AIZ).
The specialized event was opened by Mr. Kostas Tramantzas, General Director of AIZ. This was followed by Dr. Giorgos Asimopoulos, Head of OBI’s Regional Office in Thessaloniki, who presented the necessary steps for preparing a patent application.
Mr. Georgios Kefallogiannis, Trademark staff member (OBI), focused on the process of filing a national trademark online. Mr. Dimitrios Doinakis, AIZ staff member, continued with a presentation on important details from real-world cases of Patent and Trademark registrations.
The event concluded with questions and discussion with the attending audience, which included members of the academic, financial, and business communities from the broader region.
