According to the latest data from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), Design has emerged as one of the most influential factors affecting the purchasing decisions of European consumers.
As its importance continues to grow, so do the risks of counterfeiting and imitation that creators and businesses across Europe are called upon to address.
The new findings show that 72% of consumers consider design important when making purchasing decisions, while one in three rates it as “very” or “extremely” important.
At the same time, half of Europeans appreciate good design, and nearly three out of four (73%) state that they are willing to pay more for products with superior design.
