TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE PARK OF ATTICA (TE.S.P.A) “LEFKIPPOS” in NCSR DEMOKRITOS – http://tepa-lefkippos.demokritos.gr/

The new Technology & Science Park of Attica (TE.S.P.A) “Lefkippos” started to operate in the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” in September 2009 and is located in the campus of NCSR “Demokritos” in Aghia Paraskevi of Attica. TESPA “Lefkippos” owns a new building of an area of 1760 m2 (with 50 incubators from 20m2 to 45m2 each). In addition, TE.S.P.A owns a small building of 320 m2 with 20 incubators 14 m2 each and which operates since 1991. The objective of TE.S.P.A “Lefkippos” is to support the development of new companies and to reinforce their effort to exploit commercially innovative ideas and high-end technologies.

The Epirus Science and Technology Park came into operation in 2003, its mission being to serve as the main support agency for the introduction of new and ground-breaking technologies both in the private and in the public sector.  Its chief activity is as an ‘incubator’ of enterprises, which consists of office premises with the necessary conventional and electronic equipment.  Today, 15 companies are established in the incubator.

The Thessaloniki Technology Park, in collaboration with the Industrialists’ Association of Northern Greece, universities, and research centres, promotes and enhances activities involving the transfer of technology and the commercial exploitation of the results of research.

The Crete Science and Technology Park (ΕΤΕP-Κ) is an initiative of the Technology and Research Foundation (ΙΤΕ), in the context of its role in disseminating the technology produced by the Academic Community and research institutions. It provides services to the enterprises and agencies which are established on its premises, some of which were created by the activities of the ΙΤΕ (spin-offs), while it serves as an ‘incubator’ for promoting innovation in the region of Crete.

The Lavrio Technology and Culture Park is a pioneering project of the National Technical University which has as its aim the re-use of the premises of the French Mining Company of Lavrio, which is where its headquarters are, for the creation of a pole of development which will gather together research and business activities.
Work on the restoration of the premises began in 1995 with European and national co-funding and was completed in 2000. Since then, 22 agencies and enterprises involved in high technology and the provision of services have been hosted at the TPPL.

The Patra Science Park S.A. is a ‘special structure’ organisation for the creation of mechanisms and the provision of services. Its primary aim is the ‘bringing out’ of innovative – technological units and enterprises. It attempts to contribute to the creation, operation and development of units and enterprises which are based on know-how and innovation, for the development of their activities. The operation of such units has as its aim the rapid conversion of the results of Research and Technological Development into business success.

A.E.) was set up on 10 November 2001 by 39 legal persons in the Thessaly Region, with its headquarters in the Volos 1st ΒΙΠΕ.  With a range covering the Region, the Park manages incubator premises of a total area of 4,000 sq. m., where today the newly-established Centre for Research, Technology and Development of Thessaly – Κ.Ε.Τ.Ε.Α.Th. – and 10 enterprises, including Piraeus Bank, are accommodated.
