Trade marks’ Classification Classes

WHICH ARE THE CLASSES TO WHICH ΤRADE MARKS ARE CLASSIFIED?

The application for registering a trade mark shall entail a representation of the trade mark to be registered and a list of the products or/and services which will be covered by the trade mark.

Classes consist of the categories of products or services to which trade marks are classified. Products and services are internationally distinguished into 45 classes of trade. We may find goods from Class 1 to 35, while services are categorized in Classes 36 to 45. Depending on the categories covered by a trade mark, it is subsequently filed and registered to the respective classes of trade, either it refers to a general mark of a company or to a specific good.

CLASS 1                Chemicals for use in industry, science and photography, as well as in agriculture, horticulture and forestry; Unprocessed artificial resins, unprocessed plastics; Fire extinguishing and fire prevention compositions; Tempering and soldering preparations; Substances for tanning animal skins and hides; Adhesives for use in industry; Putties and other paste fillers; Compost, manures, fertilizers; Biological preparations for use in industry and science
