The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) successfully participated in the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) 2026, an institution of major importance for the country’s business, economic and social activity.
Once again, this year, OBI made a substantial contribution to informing and guiding visitors on matters relating to the protection and exploitation of Industrial Property, strengthening the dissemination of know-how and contributing to the development of the Greek innovation ecosystem.
OBI’s scientifically trained and experienced staff provided the public with well-founded information and guidance, reaffirming OBI’s role as a trusted organisation for promoting and strengthening innovation.
On Sunday, 6 September 2026, OBI, in cooperation with the Independent Authority for Consumer Protection and Market Control, successfully organised the Knowledge Game “Creatrivia: Think, Play, Win with the Power of Intellectual Property”, a targeted educational activity introducing young people to the fundamental principles of Intellectual Property and aimed at high school students.
This year’s event was attended by 2nd-grade high school students from the 28th General High School of Thessaloniki, who had the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of Intellectual Property through an interactive experience combining play, collaboration and creative thinking.
Through structured activities and questions, the students learned about key issues relating to inventions, industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications, literary and artistic works, as well as counterfeiting and copying practices.
In a direct and accessible way, the students gained an understanding of the real-life impact of Intellectual Property on their everyday lives, how creativity can be protected, and how innovation can acquire value. At the end of the creative activity, the winning team received prizes and souvenirs.
The OBI stand is located in Pavilion 7 throughout the Thessaloniki International Fair (5–13 September 2026).
